LO1: Meeting Duncan Phillpot

Duncan Phillpot is a local sports photographer.

Duncan Phillpot came into our college on the 4th March, to share with us his experience with being a sports photographer, how he started and what it's like being a photographer. We have questions provided for him.

What I found out about Duncan:
1.To orgainse his photographs he uses Adobe Lightroom
2. He stays up until early hours to edit and he also nees to wake up early so his job is tiring.
3. He travel around foor events most of the time especailly sporting events.
4. The best photographs are sometimes the unexpected.
5. He uses an umbrella for better lighting
6. He enjoys the pracitical side of it all
7.Depending on what he wants to take photographs on he uses 1/600 or 1/30 for his shutter speeed
8. He does photo journalism (taking photos of everything) this means he is more likely to capture a good moment

1) How do you choose the right shutter speed to capture movement?
2) How did you get into photography?
3) Are there any other types of photography that you are innterested in?
